Dog and God

I’ve been with my dog Max for about 3 years since I adopted him in November 2022. Since then I learned a lot about what it means to care for other being and the importance of keeping a routine.

Sometimes I’m curious about what’s on Max’s mind. Seems like food and smelling other dogs’ butts are what he always think about. He only can see and understand what he’s able to comprehend with his intelligence.

I feel like it’d be the same for us when God sees us. We oftentimes lack long-term thinking and easily succumb to the lure of immediate returns and decisions driven by emotion and desire.

Making silly decisions and regretting them is perfectly human, nothing wrong about it since we’re born that way. Reflecting on my life and future plans from God’s vantage point might help us understand my circumstancess better, remind myself of my life’s purpose, love God and love others better.
